Stow Police Reports: Retail Theft, Juvenile Incidents, Public Intoxication

Retail theft, juvenile incidents, public intoxication among week’s calls

Stow police responded to 27 incidents during the week of Oct. 7-13, including multiple shoplifting arrests, juvenile violations, and public intoxication cases.

Theft and Shoplifting

Officers made multiple retail theft arrests throughout the week. On Oct. 10, an arrest was made for shoplifting on Kent Road. Additional shoplifting arrests occurred Oct. 11 on Kent Road. Another shoplifting incident on Kent Road was closed Oct. 10.

A theft was reported Oct. 8 on Graham Road, and officers are investigating a theft on Orchard Drive reported Oct. 10.

Juvenile Incidents

Police arrested a juvenile Oct. 7 on Graham Road for cigarette or tobacco use violations. Early Oct. 8, officers responded to a runaway and unruly juvenile complaint on Baumberger Road. Another juvenile complaint was reported Oct. 13 on Hibbard Drive.

Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct

Multiple intoxication-related arrests occurred during the week. Officers arrested an individual for public intoxication Oct. 7 on Fishcreek Road.

Two separate arrests for disorderly conduct involving intoxication were made Oct. 12 at the same Bridgewater Parkway location. Another disorderly conduct case involving intoxication on Graham Road was closed Oct. 11.

Additional disorderly conduct incidents included fighting or threatening behavior Oct. 8 on Graham Road and offensive gestures on Bridgewater Parkway Oct. 8.

Fraud and Identity Theft

Police investigated telecommunications fraud Oct. 7 on Liberty Road. An identity fraud case on Arndale Road was closed Oct. 8.

Other Incidents

Officers responded to two dog running at large complaints, including one Oct. 9 near Marhofer Avenue and another Oct. 11 on Housley Road that also involved animal bites.

A criminal trespass in a restricted area was reported Oct. 8 on Kent Road. Officers issued a warrant Oct. 11 for failure to comply with a lawful police order and conducted a vehicle pursuit on Steels Point.

A menacing complaint was reported Oct. 12 on Colony Park Place. Police made a narcotics arrest Oct. 12 on Graham Road for possession of Schedule I or II substances and also executed a warrant from another agency.

Additional incidents under investigation include a trespass Oct. 13 on Hudson Drive, two sex offense reports, and a disorderly conduct incident in September.
