The Ohio High School Athletic Association has set the stage for championship weekend as field hockey and cross country prepare for state tournaments, while soccer and volleyball teams enter regional competition.
The field hockey state semifinals take place Thursday at Thomas Worthington High School, with Hudson (16-4-1) facing Upper Arlington (17-2-1) at 4:30 p.m. Thomas Worthington (18-2-1) will meet Cincinnati Mount Notre Dame (13-7) at 7 p.m. The state championship game is scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. All games will stream live on the NFHS Network with Greg Franke and Doreena Beebe providing commentary.
Cross country state championships are set for Saturday, Nov. 1 at Fortress Obetz and Memorial Park in Southeast Columbus. The OHSAA has released the list of state qualifiers, with all races available via live stream on the NFHS Network.
Regional tournaments are underway for girls and boys soccer, as well as girls volleyball.
