Panhandling couple advised to move along
Officers responded to the sidewalk in front of St. Francis on Oct. 26 for a report of a couple panhandling for money. The pair from California told police they had come to the area for employment but it did not work out. Officers advised them not to panhandle and the couple left the area in their van.
Domestic dispute resolved peacefully
Police were called to a Battles Road residence on Oct. 26 for a verbal disagreement between a married couple over their children. The situation was resolved when one spouse took the children for the evening.
Man searching for lost phone in median
An officer encountered a man walking in the median on Mayfield Road at 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 29. The man explained he was searching for his wife’s cell phone, which she had dropped out the window while driving earlier. He located the phone without incident.
Suspended license driver cited after collision
Officers responded to a non-injury accident at River and Brigham roads on Oct. 29. A 25-year-old Richmond Heights man slid past the stop sign while driving west on Brigham Road and collided with another vehicle in the intersection. He was cited for failure to control and driving on a suspended license.
Valuables reported missing from residence
A Chestnut Run resident filed a report on Oct. 31 alleging cash and jewelry were removed from his residence by his ex-girlfriend, who had been staying at the home. A report was filed.
BB gun damage discovered on barn
An officer responded to the block of Brigham Road on Nov. 1. The resident reported discovering broken glass on his detached barn while cutting grass. The damage appeared to have been caused by a BB gun and likely occurred within the past week. A report was filed.
