Hudson Police Reports: OVI Arrest, Trespassing Incident and Domestic Violence

OVI Arrest

A Canton man was arrested on an OVI charge early Oct. 26 on West Streetsboro Street. Officers stopped the vehicle for a moving violation and suspected impairment. The driver admitted to smoking THC and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. He consented to a urine sample and was released to his father on a signature bond.

Trespassing Arrest

Police arrested a suspect following a trespassing incident on Stow Road on Oct. 30.

Drug Incident

Officers responded with EMS to a facility on West Streetsboro Street on Nov. 2 for a report of a person who had possibly used heroin and cocaine.

Domestic Violence

A report was taken for domestic violence at a Hudson Drive location on Nov. 3.

Theft Incidents

Police investigated an attempted theft on Oct. 29 after a resident on Ashbrooke Way reported someone unsuccessfully tried to steal funds from his checking account through a telephone-initiated transfer.

A blower was reported stolen from a Ravenna Street location on Oct. 28.

Welfare Checks

Officers conducted multiple welfare checks during the reporting period, including responding to an Ogilby Drive residence on Oct. 26 for a Copley man, a Barlow Road address on Oct. 27, and a Ravenna Street location on Nov. 1.

Police also responded to a Ravenna Street residence on Oct. 28 for a report of a suicidal minor.

Missing Person

An elderly woman was reported missing on Oct. 28 from West Streetsboro Street. She was located shortly after the report was filed.

Traffic Incidents

Police investigated a school bus violation at the intersection of Weston Drive and Duffield Drive on Oct. 27.

Officers made a traffic stop on Nov. 2 near North Main Street and Aurora Street after a vehicle was observed traveling on the wrong side of the roadway.

A driver was cited on Nov. 2 at Stow Road and Canterbury Drive for speeding and driving under suspension.

Suspicious Activity

Officers responded to multiple reports of suspicious activity, including incidents on West Prospect Street on Oct. 28, near a BP station on South Main Street on Nov. 2, and on Parmelee Drive on Nov. 3.

Police also responded to a potential fuel theft at the BP station on South Main Street on Nov. 2.

Other Incidents

Officers responded to several civil matters during the reporting period, including a verbal dispute between a business tenant and property owner on North Main Street on Oct. 27.

Police assisted with disabled vehicles on Norton Road near Darrow Road on Nov. 2 and at Stow Road and Chamberlin Boulevard on Nov. 2.

An officer from the department assisted Stow police on Nov. 3 when a fight broke out in the parking lot of Stow Municipal Court.
