Founded in 1893, the Ohio Chamber of Commerce is one of the state’s oldest and most influential business organizations. Its membership includes more than 8,000 companies, ranging from small businesses to international corporations. The Chamber champions pro-business policies, conducts research, and provides valuable resources and networking opportunities to entrepreneurs and employers across Ohio. Its Board of Directors is composed of volunteer business leaders from every region of the state.
“I’m honored to be elected to the Ohio Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors,” said Matt Riehl. “The Chamber has a proud, storied history, and I’m looking forward to supporting and advocating for businesses and entrepreneurs in Stow, our region, and across Ohio.”
Riehl currently serves as Vice President of Stow City Council. In addition to his public service, he is the Head of Government Relations for JumpStart Inc., a 21-year-old venture capital and economic development organization based in Cleveland.
Beyond his professional roles, Riehl is an active community volunteer. He can be heard weekly on the Cleveland Sight Center Radio Network, where he reads articles to listeners who are blind or visually impaired. He is also a proud member of the Ohio Association of Commodores, the FBI Cleveland Citizens Academy Alumni Association, and is a Kentucky Colonel.
Riehl earned his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees from Case Western Reserve University and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Kent State University.
