Verbal Dispute Over Finances – Battles Road
On Nov. 25 at 11:45 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Battles Road for a report of a verbal argument between a husband and wife.
Police separated the two and spoke with them about the dispute, which was reportedly over financial matters. The wife agreed to leave the home for the evening. Officers documented the incident and assisted as needed.
Suspicious Light Reported – Carpenter Road
Also on Nov. 25, a resident on Carpenter Road reported seeing a flashing light in a barn and was concerned that someone might be inside.
Officers checked the interior of the structure and found everything secure. No unauthorized persons were located, and nothing appeared out of place. Police assisted and cleared the scene.
Custody Exchange Assistance – Gilmour Academy
On Nov. 25 at 9 p.m., officers were called to the parking lot at Gilmour Academy to stand by during a scheduled child custody exchange.
The child was transferred to the father without incident. Police remained on scene to ensure the exchange remained peaceful and then cleared after both parties left. Officers assisted as requested.
Vehicle Circling Cul-de-Sac – West Hill Drive
On Nov. 27 at 1 a.m., officers responded to the 900 block of West Hill Drive for a report of a vehicle circling a cul-de-sac for about 15 minutes.
Police located the vehicle and spoke with the driver, who said he had been dropping a friend off at her home and the two had been talking in the car. No criminal activity was found, and no further police action was needed.
Passenger Jumps from Vehicle After Argument – Mayfield Road
On Nov. 28 at 2:25 a.m., a female driver traveling on Mayfield Road near Echo Glen reported that her passenger, who was intoxicated, had jumped out of her vehicle while it was stopped.
Officers located the male farther up Mayfield Road. He told police he had called his aunt, who picked him up and took him to his home in Chardon. The pair had reportedly been arguing prior to him exiting the vehicle. No injuries were reported, and the situation was resolved.
