STOW, Ohio โ€“ Stow police reports from November 18 through December 1 show a steady stream of theft, fraud and disturbance calls, along with several arrests for impaired driving and drug-related offenses. The two-week span also included sex offense investigations, juvenile complaints and repeated incidents of telecommunications harassment.

Theft And Shopliftingย

Officers were called to several locations for theft and larceny complaints, both from businesses and residences.

  • A theft case on Hudson Drive on Nov. 18 led to an arrest and multiple charges, including tampering with evidence, theft without consent, obstructing official business and resisting arrest.
  • That same day, additional theft reports were taken on Fishcreek Road and Baird Road, and another reported theft from a building was logged on Scarlet Lane.
  • On Nov. 20, police documented a theft incident on Darrow Road, with additional thefts later in the week at an apartment on Colony Park Place and elsewhere in the city.
  • A Nov. 26 report at Kent Road involved an arrest for shoplifting and criminal trespass, and another shoplifting arrest was reported at a business on Kent Road on Nov. 25.
  • Investigators also handled thefts tied to motor vehicles, including a Nov. 26 incident near Graham Road and Edgewood Drive listed as unauthorized use of a vehicle, vehicle trespass and theft from motor vehicles.
  • In the following days, officers took reports of theft at addresses on Millburn Avenue and Kent Road, with several classified as shoplifting.

Throughout the period, multiple larceny cases were listed as โ€œTheft โ€“ All Other,โ€ indicating a variety of circumstances beyond simple shoplifting.

Fraud And Identity Theft Cases Continue

Stow police reports also detail several fraud and identity theft investigations:

  • On Nov. 18, telecommunications fraud was reported on Temple Trail.
  • A Nov. 21 case on Osage Street involved identity fraud and the use of another personโ€™s identifying information.
  • On Nov. 25, officers took an identity fraud report on Ritchie Road where someone allegedly represented another personโ€™s information as their own.
  • Additional fraud investigations were noted on Medina Road in Akron and Burton Drive in Stow, along with a case where theft by deception was listed in the statute description.

Some of the fraud incidents involved out-of-city addresses but were investigated by Stow police, reflecting the regional nature of financial and identity crimes.

Disorderly Conduct, Harassment And Juvenile Issues

Officers also responded to a series of disturbance and harassment calls:

  • A Nov. 18 harassment case on Darrow Road involved disorderly conduct with intoxication.
  • Disorderly conduct incidents were logged at addresses on Fishcreek Road and Darrow Road on Nov. 21, with one described specifically as intoxication-related.
  • Telecommunications harassment cases were reported from Becket Circle, Alicia Trail and Forest Heights Drive, each described as harassing, intimidating or abusive calls or messages.
  • Police were called for juvenile complaints on Graham Road, including an arrest for truancy from school on Nov. 21. Another juvenile complaint case late that night listed an arrest tied to an open container violation.

A separate citizen complaint involving personnel was later marked unfounded after investigation.

Sex Offense And Menacing Investigations

The reports show several serious investigations that did not immediately result in public arrest details:

  • A sex offense case on Englewood Drive, listed as gross sexual imposition under certain conditions, was documented Nov. 17.
  • Another sex offense call on Fishcreek Road on Nov. 21 was recorded as sexual imposition with offensive contact.
  • Menacing and stalking cases were logged on Graham Road and Berry Hill, with one incident described as telecommunications harassment with menacing and another listed simply as menacing.

These cases were recorded as โ€œclosedโ€ or open investigations, with limited information provided in the logs.

Drugs, OVI And Open Container Arrests

Stow officers also continued enforcement activity related to impaired driving and drug offenses:

  • On Nov. 20, an OVI/DUI arrest was reported in the area of Graham Road and Hudson Drive, tied to possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • On Nov. 22, police arrested a driver on Kent Road for drug-related offenses, including possession of a fentanyl-related compound, possession of drug abuse instruments and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • That same weekend, officers arrested individuals on open container violations, including a juvenile complaints case noted just before midnight on Nov. 21.
  • On Dec. 1, an OVI arrest on Millburn Avenue included open container violations and an alleged refusal with a prior conviction within 20 years.

These incidents reflect continued patrol activity on major Stow roadways and in residential neighborhoods.
