AURORA, Ohio – Property Damage – Vehicle Strikes Garage Frame

Aurora police responded early afternoon after a resident reported that her vehicle slid into her garage door frame as she was returning home. The incident resulted in damage to the garage structure. The homeowner advised that her insurance company would require an Aurora police blotter report. No injuries were reported.
Theft – $300 Coat Missing From Aurora Business
Date reported: Dec. 4, 2025
Location: East Garfield Road
An individual reported that a $300 coat was taken from a local hair salon earlier in the day. The caller later contacted police from an apartment at The Atrium to file a report. Officers took information for a theft complaint.
Mental Health Issue – Intoxicated Neighbor, Panic Attack
Date: Late evening Dec. 4, 2025
Location: Camelot
Dispatchers received a call describing a loud disturbance and difficulty hearing the caller over the background noise. A neighbor had reportedly run into an apartment, hysterical and repeatedly saying that someone was “lying.”
The caller, speaking from a friend’s residence, said the involved female was an upstairs neighbor. Dispatch noted the phone was being passed around during the call and that the woman remained extremely upset in the background.
Initially, medical assistance was declined, but officers continued to check on those involved. A short time later, a squad was requested for a woman in her 30s who was having a panic attack and was believed to be intoxicated.
Police noted that the woman appeared extremely intoxicated and had a history of mental health concerns. After statements about self-harm, she was placed on an emergency mental health hold and transported for evaluation.
Theft / Scam – Resident Reports Giving $12,000 to Unknown Person

Location: Crystal Lane
Aurora police were first dispatched after a male caller said his mother was on the phone with an unknown person and refused to hang up. Several 911 calls followed, with open lines and no one speaking directly to dispatchers, though a male voice could be heard in the background.
Officers eventually made contact and were told that a woman had willingly withdrawn approximately $12,000 from a bank in Solon and handed it over to an unknown man there. Aurora officers advised the woman to contact her bank and to file a theft report with Solon police. The call in Aurora was classified as a theft/general complaint.
Firearms Surrender – Court Order
Date: Dec. 5, 2025
Location: Meadowbrook Drive
A male came to police to surrender firearms in compliance with a court order. Officers noted the subject also had a prior indication out of another jurisdiction. The weapons were turned over to Aurora police.
Bank Fraud Complaint – Filed at Police Station
Date: Early morning Dec. 7, 2025
Location: North Bissell Road (Police Department Lobby)
A woman came to the police station lobby shortly after midnight to file a report regarding suspected bank fraud. The call was documented as a general complaint and transferred for further investigation. The woman later left the station after speaking with an officer.
Property Damage – Rental Vehicle Struck Overnight
Date: Dec. 7, 2025, afternoon
Location: Shawnee Trail
A man and woman entered the police lobby to report that their rental vehicle had been struck sometime overnight while parked at an address on Shawnee Trail. The couple told police they were in town for a funeral. Officers documented the incident as property damage involving a rental SUV.
Juvenile Complaint – 911 Hang-Up With History at Address
Date: Dec. 7, 2025, evening
Location: East Boulevard
Aurora police investigated a 911 hang-up call from a residence on East Boulevard. A call-back went straight to voicemail as if the line were disconnected. Records indicated a history of domestic issues at the address. Officers conducted a check at the residence and reported that everyone was OK.
