Hudson Police Reports: Theft, Fraud, Suspicious Activity

HUDSON, Ohio Hudson police handled a range of calls between Dec. 2 and Dec. 8, 2025, including a stolen check, identity fraud, suspicious activity, and several welfare checks and mental health-related incidents, according to department reports.

Theft of check reported

On Dec. 5 at 10:52 a.m., officers took a theft report from a resident who said a check had been stolen. The incident was documented as a theft/larceny case.

Identity fraud under investigation

On Saturday, Dec. 6 at 2:38 p.m., police responded to a Stonebridge Court residence for a report of identity fraud. A resident told officers their personal information had been used without permission. The case was documented as fraud.

Suspicious activity calls keep officers busy

  • Just before 1 a.m. on Dec. 2, officers were dispatched to Brafferton Avenue for a report of suspicious activity.
  • Later that morning, at 8:45 a.m., a case labeled “Detective Bureau / Confidential” was opened for suspicious activity on South Oviatt Street. Police noted the investigation is pending.
  • Around 1:21 p.m., an Old Tannery Circle resident told police someone had knocked on her door around 1 p.m. that day and she considered the contact suspicious.
  • At 9:51 p.m., an officer was sent to Bard Drive for another suspicious-activity complaint.
  • At 10:07 p.m., officers responded to the area around a gas station on West Streetsboro Street for reports of a suspicious male.
  • On Dec. 7 at 10:21 p.m., officers responded to a Haymarket Way home for suspicious circumstances involving unexplained noises. Police found the house secure and could not determine the cause.

Alarms and repossession

Around 7 a.m. on Dec. 2, officers checked an alarm activation and unsecured rear door at a downtown restaurant on East Streetsboro Street. No further issues were reported in the summary.

Later that morning, officers documented a vehicle repossession after a resident came to the station to report it.

On Dec. 3 at 11:56 p.m., police again responded to an alarm drop at a Middleton Road address.

Informational reports and property damage

Several calls were documented for information only:

  • A resident requested an informational report on Dec. 2 when snow plowed from the street ended up on his driveway apron on Ravenna Street.
  • That afternoon, officers documented an informational report after a plow truck driver knocked over a mailbox on Edgeview Drive.
  • On Dec. 2 at 11:19 p.m., a Bard Drive resident came to the station for advice about an ongoing problem with a neighbor.
  • On Dec. 4, police took an informational report over the phone regarding a Brewster Drive resident.
  • On Dec. 5, officers documented a property report at a South Oviatt Street address.
  • On Dec. 3 at 6:17 p.m., officers responded to a business on Darrow Road for found property.

Assault reported at local business

On Dec. 2 at 1:30 p.m., police documented an assault at a business on Barlow Road. The brief summary did not include additional details.

Domestic and disorderly conduct incidents

On Dec. 4 at 3:57 p.m., officers were called to a residential facility on Atterbury Boulevard after a reported domestic situation. The matter was documented as a domestic incident.

That evening around 7:20 p.m., officers responded to the area of Darrow Road and Terex Road after a reported road-rage incident. The call was listed as disorderly conduct.

Noise complaint on Bard Drive

Just after midnight on Dec. 5, officers returned to Bard Drive in response to a noise complaint. Police documented a noise incident at 12:15 a.m.

Welfare checks across the city

Hudson officers conducted multiple welfare checks during the week:

  • On Dec. 2, officers were dispatched to a Parmelee Drive residence to check on a person’s welfare.
  • On Dec. 5 at 1:10 a.m., police went to Bard Drive to check on a resident.
  • Later that morning at 9:55 a.m., officers were called to Silverberry Lane for another welfare check.
  • On Dec. 8 at 9:47 a.m., police were requested to perform a welfare check at a Deer Hollow address. The subject was located and checked OK.

Mental health-related calls

Officers also handled several calls related to mental health:

  • On Dec. 2 at 6:05 p.m., police were dispatched to Ravenna Street for a mental health call.
  • In the early morning hours of Dec. 5, officers responded to a Herrick Park Drive residence for a person reported to be in a mental health crisis.
  • On Dec. 6 at 11:40 p.m., police went to a Plymouth Drive residence for a report of a change in mental status.
