Ravenna police arrested two individuals on Dec. 31 in connection with separate robbery incidents. One suspect faces charges of aggravated robbery with intent to inflict serious physical harm, while another was arrested on a robbery charge for using or threatening immediate force against another person. Both arrests came on the same day as officers responded to the incidents.
On Jan. 4, officers arrested a suspect on burglary charges. The same individual also faces a domestic violence charge from the same date, along with an outstanding felony warrant from Ravenna police.
In another burglary case from Dec. 9, a suspect was arrested for trespassing in a permanent or temporary habitation while a person was present. That individual also faces a resisting arrest charge.
On Dec. 14, an individual was arrested on multiple charges including aggravated menacing, possession of drugs, and resisting arrest, along with an outstanding felony warrant from another agency.
Officers responded to an assault incident on Jan. 5, resulting in one arrest. Another assault arrest occurred on Dec. 29.
Domestic Violence Incidents
Ravenna police handled multiple domestic violence cases during the period. On Dec. 23, officers arrested a suspect on charges of domestic violence involving knowingly causing physical harm, along with strangulation charges.
On Dec. 12, another individual was arrested on similar charges of domestic violence with physical harm and strangulation.
A Dec. 19 domestic violence incident resulted in an arrest for causing belief of imminent physical harm by threat or force. On Dec. 14, a juvenile was arrested on a domestic violence charge.
OVI and Traffic Violations
Five individuals were arrested for operating a vehicle while impaired between Dec. 20 and Jan. 1.
On Dec. 21, officers arrested a driver for OVI along with underage consumption of beer or intoxicating liquor and open container violations.
Additional OVI arrests occurred on Dec. 20, Dec. 24, Dec. 27, and Jan. 1. The Jan. 1 arrest included an additional charge for OVI with refusal and a previous conviction within the last twenty years.
On Dec. 22, an individual was arrested for failure to comply with an order or signal from a police officer, specifically eluding or fleeing.
Drug-Related Arrests
On Jan. 2, officers arrested a suspect for drug abuse involving a Schedule I or II substance.
Two individuals were arrested on charges of possessing drug abuse instruments, one on Dec. 25 and another on Jan. 6. The Jan. 6 arrest also included an outstanding misdemeanor warrant from another agency.
Juvenile Incidents
Police responded to numerous incidents involving juveniles during the time period. Multiple disorderly conduct arrests were made between Dec. 9 and Dec. 29, with ten different individuals arrested on the charge.
Several juveniles were arrested on unruly juvenile offenses, including charges for being habitually disobedient and truancy. One juvenile was arrested twice on unruly juvenile charges, once on Dec. 16 and again on Dec. 19. Another juvenile faces two arrests on the same charge from Dec. 17 and Dec. 29.
A truancy-related unruly juvenile arrest occurred on Dec. 10. The same individual also faces an assault charge from Dec. 29.
On Dec. 10, two adults were arrested for contributing to the unruliness or delinquency of a child.
Property Crimes
Four individuals were arrested on theft charges on Dec. 9.
Other Incidents
A criminal trespass arrest was made on Dec. 9 for trespassing on the land or premises of another. The same individual also faces charges of disorderly conduct with offensive gesture or noise and obstructing official business from the same date.
On Dec. 30, officers arrested an individual for criminal trespass for failing to leave negligently.
Multiple individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants from both Ravenna police and other agencies during the period. Six felony warrants and eleven misdemeanor warrants were served.
On Dec. 22, an individual was arrested for misuse of the 9-1-1 system.
Officers made three arrests for disorderly conduct while intoxicated and creating a risk of harm on Dec. 19, Dec. 19, and Jan. 2.
