Sagamore Hills Police Blotter: Prostitution Arrest, Sinkhole Rescue, and Suspicious Person

SAGAMORE HILLS, Ohio – Prostitution Arrest: On Dec. 18, Sagamore Hills detectives concluded an investigation into alleged illegal activity at a local business. Following complaints of prostitution at the Sasa Foot Spa on W. Aurora Road, officers executed an investigation that resulted in an arrest. Police processed a front door key to the business as evidence.

Hit-Skip Accident: Officers responded to the area of State Route 82 and North Boyden Road on Dec. 19 after a traffic arrow sign was found damaged in the left turn lane. Investigators determined an unknown vehicle traveling eastbound on SR 82 went off the left side of the road, drove through the front lawn of Northfield Baptist Church, and struck the sign before fleeing the scene.

Sinkhole Rescue: A frightening incident occurred on Hawthorne Drive on Jan. 1. A female resident notified police that while she was walking her dog, she unexpectedly stepped into a sinkhole. The woman fell waist-deep into debris and found it difficult to extricate herself before officers arrived to assist.

Suspicious Person: On Dec. 16, police were dispatched to a residence on Brandywine Road at 7:24 p.m. regarding a suspicious person. Officers identified a male subject at the scene and documented the encounter involving multiple residents at the home.

OVI Arrest: Early on the morning of Dec. 21, officers conducted a traffic stop for marked lane violations near Eaton Drive and Valley View Road. The female driver was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence after testing for a blood alcohol content between .08% and .17%.

Domestic Disputes: Police handled two separate domestic calls recently. On Dec. 21, a male resident came to the station to report an ongoing marital dispute. Later, on Dec. 22, officers responded to a home on Mottl Reserve Drive for a domestic dispute involving two individuals; the situation was documented and cleared.

Dog Bite: A delivery driver contacted 911 on Dec. 22 to report being bitten by a dog while attempting to deliver a package to a home on Deep Cove Drive.

Medical Emergencies: Sagamore Hills officers assisted with two “body found” reports recently. On Dec. 23, units were dispatched to Brentwood Health Center for an unresponsive female. On Dec. 29, officers and the Macedonia Fire Department responded to a residence on Brandywine Road where another deceased female was discovered.
