Starting a business in Streetsboro? The resources you need are here.
STREETSBORO, OHIO — If your daily commute takes you through the heart of Streetsboro, it is time to start planning alternate routes. Beginning Monday, March 2, 2026, the city will see the launch of two massive infrastructure and road construction projects that will impact traffic patterns through December.
The $5.8 million investment, backed by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and local funding, aims to repair aging infrastructure, replace deteriorating concrete, and significantly improve intersection safety.
Here is a comprehensive breakdown of exactly what is happening, where the work will be, and how it will impact your daily drive.
The SR 14 and SR 43 Mega-Project The most visible impact will be the extensive paving and concrete work at the city’s primary crossroads. While the entire project is expected to last until December 2026, ODOT has mandated that at least one ten-foot lane of traffic be maintained in each direction during standard resurfacing. However, drivers should expect significant delays.
Paving Limits:
- SR 14 Eastbound (Towards Ravenna): Paving will extend to Ranch Road.
- SR 14 Westbound: Paving will extend to the Ohio Turnpike.
- SR 43 Northbound: Paving will extend to Market Square Drive.
- SR 43 Southbound: Paving will extend to the southern city limits at Twin Lakes.
The Center Intersection (SR 14 & SR 43): The intersection of SR 14 and SR 43 is getting a complete overhaul. Crews will be ripping up the old surface and laying down entirely new full-depth concrete. Because of the nature of concrete replacement, there will be turning movement restrictions at the intersection during construction. Detour routes will be provided, but drivers should avoid the center of town if possible.
Major Safety Upgrade: New Traffic Light at SR 14 & SR 303 As part of the SR 14 eastern paving project, a highly anticipated safety upgrade is coming to the SR 14, SR 303, and Ranch Road intersection. Crews will be installing a brand-new traffic signal to make it safer and more efficient for westbound SR 303 traffic to merge onto SR 14. As part of this new traffic pattern, the existing westbound slip lane will be permanently removed.
Page Road Bridge Closure (Over the Turnpike) Also kicking off on March 2 is a major bridge repair project on Page Road (CR 200). SMCI Construction will be performing beam removal and deck replacement on the bridge that spans the Ohio Turnpike.
- Impact: Page Road will be fully closed at the bridge.
- Timeline: The closure begins March 2 and is expected to last until early-to-mid summer (estimated June/July).
- Access: Local detours will be posted. Drivers will still have access to Pike Parkway from the south, and access to all homes and the Boulder Creek Golf Course from the north will be maintained.
