AURORA, Ohio – At the 2026 State of the City, Superintendent Dr. Paul Milcetich highlighted the Aurora City School District’s continued excellence, including its fourth consecutive five-star state rating. To sustain this success, the district is moving forward with The Essential Plan, a comprehensive facility strategy to address aging infrastructure and increasing enrollment.
The plan includes constructing a new grades 1-3 elementary school on the Craddock property and reconfiguring buildings to eliminate modular “trailer” classrooms. “The Green Standard is our commitment to excellence,” Milcetich stated, emphasizing that the best plans are built through community partnership. A bond issue is anticipated for the fall of 2026 following community feedback sessions this spring.
