Domestic Violence Arrest on Canterbury Lane

On March 21, 2026, Sagamore Hills Police units were dispatched to a residence on Canterbury Lane following a 911 call. Upon investigation, officers arrested a male suspect at the scene for domestic violence. The responding team, including Ptl. Dan DeCrane, Ptl. Robert Patterson, and Ptl. Christina Meyers, cleared the call later that afternoon after processing the scene and the individuals involved.

Fraud Investigation and Welfare Checks

On March 21, 2026, a resident reported a case of fraud at the Sagamore Hills Police station. The reporting party indicated that the fraudulent activity, linked to a residence on Houghton Road, dated back to early December 2025. In a separate matter on March 23, 2026, Ptl. Ryan Shelby conducted a welfare check for individuals on Smithfield Drive after receiving a request to verify their well-being. Additionally, on March 18, officers responded to Greenwood Parkway regarding a report of a missing juvenile.

Animal Complaints and Roadway Safety

Officers handled three distinct animal-related calls during this period. On March 20, 2026, police responded to Valley View Road where an injured deer was located and humanely dispatched. Later that day, another animal complaint was investigated on Morning Star Trail. On March 23, 2026, a third report was filed concerning an animal issue near the intersection of Canal Road and Dunham Road.

Open Container Citation and Neighbor Disputes

During a traffic stop on March 20, 2026, at the intersection of Houghton Road and Dunham Road, Sagamore Hills officers issued a citation for an open container in a public place. That same day, police were called to West Highland Road to mediate a neighbor dispute. One resident requested that a citation be issued to their neighbor following a disagreement, though the situation was handled by responding officers without immediate arrest.
