Seven Hills City Council Committee Meeting: Business Recognition, Economic Development, and Infrastructure Claims

Seven Hills honors local entrepreneur while advancing job creation and addressing residential moral claims.

SEVEN HILLS, Ohio – The Seven Hills City Council held a series of committee meetings on March 26, 2026, highlighting a local business success story and taking steps toward future economic growth. The session began with Mayor Anthony Biasiotta presenting the Seven Hills Business of the Month award to Seven Hills Car Wash, a recently renovated facility that represents a significant investment in the city’s commercial corridor.

Seven Hills Business of the Month Recognized for March 2026

Mayor Anthony Biasiotta officially designated Seven Hills Car Wash as the Seven Hills Business of the Month for March 2026. The business, located at the site of the former Velvet Touch, underwent a complete renovation before reopening in February 2026. Owner Pete Gransson, who previously operated a car wash in Macedonia, was praised for transforming the site into a modern, touchless, and fully automated facility.

“I like to do my part to invest,” Gransson told the council, noting that he chose to return to the industry after a brief retirement. “It’s important to keep the positive vibes of this community in Northeast Ohio, specifically Seven Hills, active and thriving.” The proclamation noted that a car wash has maintained a presence at that specific location for over 35 years.

Economic Development and Job Creation Agreements

During the Finance, Civil Service, and Personnel Committee meeting, council members moved to fast-track an ordinance regarding the city’s economic health. The committee recommended an agreement with Next Motion Group focusing on a Seven Hills Business of the Month level of commitment to local growth through a formal economic development job creation and job retention agreement.

The ordinance was added to the evening’s council agenda as an emergency measure, waiving the standard 24-hour rule to ensure the city can promptly enter into the agreement. Additionally, the Planning, Zoning, and Economic Development Committee, led by Councilman Tom Snitzky, announced that a new chiropractor’s office is expected to open in the city, with a formal planning meeting scheduled for April 8.

Finance Committee Addresses Residential Moral Claims

The Finance Committee also addressed a moral claim submitted by a resident regarding infrastructure issues. Following a review by the Moral Claims Committee and the Service Director, the request for reimbursement was denied. City records and camera footage from January 16, 2026, confirmed that the city’s main line was clear and the blockage was located within the resident’s private property.

The meeting saw attendance from several city officials, including Council President Phil Kirazi, Councilman Brian Kelly, and Councilman Pat Elliott. Councilman Mike Morrow was excused from the session.
