119 W. Pioneer Trail, Aurora, Ohio
The League of Women Voters of Northern Portage County (LWV-NPC) invites members of the community to a webinar watch party & roundtable conversation on The Election Before the Election: Ohio Primaries & Why they Matter. The event will be held at the Aurora Schools Kohanski Center, 119 West Pioneer Trail, Aurora, OH, starting at 6:30 PM.
Attendees will gather to view a recording of “The Election Before the Election: Ohio Primaries & Why they Matter,” a webinar produced by the League of Women Voters of Ohio (LWVO) and originally broadcast on March 18. Co-hosted by Elisabeth Warner, LWVO’s Communications Director, and Heather Nye, LWVO’s Voter Service Coordinator, the webinar covers how Ohio’s primary election system works, the challenges to voter participation, why primaries matter to a healthy democracy, and ways individuals can be a positive force in civic engagement leading up to the spring primary. Following the screening, attendees will take part in a roundtable discussion about how these issues affect our local community.
LWV Ohio is holding the webinar live for the public to watch on March 18th. Anyone can register to watch that webinar: CLICK HERE
