If you’re interested in getting a little, local art culture in your life, check out the current exhibit at Peninsula Art Academy: Whiskers to Wings.
Running from March 1 to April 12, the exhibit is a celebration of creatures that bring us feelings of joy and awe and inspire us in numerous ways. Local artists have submitted works exploring animals in art, from realistic to symbolic, abstract, or imagined forms.
Nordonia Hills News contributor, Brad Nellis, has three pieces in the show featuring scenes of winter cardinals and other birds in three different mediums. His artwork is presented in a framed photo, a canvas print, and an AI-influenced watercolor photo on slate.
Nellis is a retired technology professional who worked in tech in Northeast Ohio for more than 25 years. He developed a passion for hiking and nature photography many years ago and enjoys showing his work in local shows and featured exhibitions.
Founded in 2004, Peninsula Art Academy is a 501(c)(3) that provides art instruction, workspace, collaboration opportunities, and exhibit space for local artists at their venue located at 1600 Mill Street West in Peninsula.
