The Hudson police reports from this period highlight an active week for the department, which also included animal complaints, domestic situations, and mental health assistance calls throughout the community.

Financial Crimes and Fraud Investigations

Several residents reported falling victim to financial crimes during this week. On March 18, a 71-year-old man living on Brentwood Drive notified authorities that his personal identifying information had been used to make unauthorized online purchases. The following day, officers were called to a residence on Redwood Boulevard to investigate a report regarding the misuse of credit cards. Additionally, on March 20, a former employee of a healthcare facility on Hudson Crossing Parkway contacted police regarding a civil matter involving claims of unpaid wages.

Public Safety and Property Concerns

On March 22, Hudson Police documented a report of a lost firearm from a resident on Victoria Parkway. Officers also handled two separate trespassing complaints on March 19; one occurred at a business on North Main Street, while the other involved a “criminal trespass” report at the Discount Drugmart on Darrow Road. Traffic safety was also a priority, as seen on March 21 when units were dispatched to the Bike and Hike Trail near Lincoln Boulevard to clear a traffic hazard.

Community Assistance and Welfare Checks

The department provided various forms of community support, ranging from welfare checks to mental health crisis intervention. Officers responded to reports of individuals experiencing mental health struggles on Young Road, Blue Heron Drive, and a third undisclosed location between March 18 and March 22. Welfare checks were conducted at a nursing facility on West Streetsboro Street and a residence on Atterbury Boulevard. Notably, on March 20, an officer arrested a 29-year-old Hudson resident for an OVI offense following a vehicle crash on Argyle Drive.

Animal Complaints and Miscellaneous Reports

Animal-related calls were frequent, including a report of a dog at large near Middleton Road and Marblehead. On March 20, an officer had to euthanize an injured deer on Stow Road. Other miscellaneous reports included an investigation into opened mail found in a mailbox on Brafferton Avenue and a domestic situation on Holland Drive. The week concluded with reports of an assault and several informational filings at the Hudson Elms facility on West Streetsboro Street.
