A portion of Interstate 271 southbound in Macedonia, Ohio remains closed following a tragic incident discovered early this morning.
At approximately 3:40 a.m. this morning, Wednesday March 26, authorities discovered a body on the roadway. The Ohio Department of Transportation has confirmed that all lanes are closed on I-271 southbound beyond the I-271/I-480 split while investigators work at the scene.
Macedonia dispatchers indicate that police are investigating this as a fatal traffic crash. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes until further notice.
