Woman Documents Verbal Altercation During Child Pickup

A verbal altercation between former spouses was reported to Mentor Police on April 28. A woman told Officer Mackey that during a custody exchange at her ex-husband’s residence on Nowlen Street, a disagreement escalated when the ex-husband allegedly struck her vehicle’s rearview mirror in anger. The incident occurred while picking up her daughter on April 27 around 3:00 PM. No damage was observed to the mirror, and she requested the incident be documented for future reference due to previous incidents. The case has been classified as a non-violent domestic dispute.

Delivery Worker’s Mishap Causes Vehicle Damage at Chick-Fil-A

Early Morning Incident Results in Door Dent

A property damage incident was reported at the Chick-Fil-A on Mentor Avenue during early morning hours on April 29. A delivery worker was making a delivery to the restaurant using a Rehrig Pacific pallet jack when the equipment, which he believed was properly secured, rolled into a parked Chevrolet Silverado. Officer Tayerle observed a small dent in the driver’s side door of the pickup truck. The vehicle owner was not present during the incident. Both parties have insurance coverage.

Driver Arrested for OVI Following Injury Crash

Mentor Avenue Collision Leads to Drug Impairment Charges

An injury crash at the intersection of Mentor Avenue and Plaza Boulevard resulted in an OVI arrest on April 29. Officers Wayne and Miller responded to the scene around 5:05 PM, where they determined the driver of the at-fault vehicle was operating under the influence of drugs. Timothy Charles Lunato, driving a blue 2014 Nissan Rogue, was placed under arrest at 5:30 PM. The police report indicates the case has been classified as “Closed By Arrest – Adult.”

Open Container Citation Issued During Late Night Traffic Stop

Route 2 Traffic Enforcement Yields Misdemeanor

A traffic stop conducted by Officer Tunquist on State Route 2 West near Lost Nation Road resulted in a misdemeanor citation for open container on April 28. Curtis Kente Jones was arrested at 11:59 PM and cited for the violation. Jones was driving a black 2013 Honda Accord at the time of the stop. The case disposition is listed as “Closed By Arrest – Adult.”
