David Wayne Price III of Aurora was arrested May 21 on an outstanding warrant. Price was wanted on charges related to a misdemeanor offense. He was processed and released with expired plates citations issued by adjacent county authorities.

Assault Arrest

Man Arrested Following Early Morning Assault
Moneta Avenue

Shawn Teece of Aurora was arrested May 20 following an assault investigation on Moneta Avenue. The incident occurred around 2:13 AM when police responded to reports of an assault. EMS was called to the scene and refused treatment for the victim who sustained injuries including bleeding from the face. Teece was charged with assault.

Solicitation Arrest

Man Cited For Soliciting Without Permit
Yorkshire Drive

Jim Chowdhury was cited May 21 for peddling, soliciting or canvassing without a permit on Yorkshire Drive. Police responded around 7:52 PM to reports of a male with items approaching residences. Chowdhury was issued a summons for soliciting without proper permits.

Retail Theft

Employee Theft Investigation At Building Supply Store
Shawnee Trail

May 16 – Police investigated an employee theft case where a worker allegedly took a check from the property and cashed it. The investigation revealed the employee had been stealing over several days. The case involves theft by deception and is being forwarded to prosecutors.

Shoplifting Incident At Retail Store
South Chillicothe Road

May 21 – Police responded to reports of stolen t-shirts from a building supply retailer. The incident involved theft of merchandise including clothing items. Video evidence was obtained as part of the investigation.

Vehicle Related Theft

Property Damage And Possible Vehicle Theft
North Aurora Road

May 15 – Police investigated reports of something flying off a vehicle that was traveling southbound, causing damage to another vehicle’s windshield. The incident resulted in property damage with glass scattered across the roadway.

Hit And Run Property Damage
South Park Drive

May 16 – An older dark gray Jeep struck a mailbox and left the scene. The vehicle was last seen heading toward Parkview Drive. Police have security video of the incident and are investigating.

May 20 – Police responded to a domestic incident involving a protection order violation. A female reported to the lobby seeking assistance with the violation. The case is under investigation.

West Mennonite Road

May 22 – Police conducted a welfare check on a male subject who had left his residence following a domestic dispute. The man was reportedly hallucinating and had been walking without eating for three days. He was found to be incoherent and taken for evaluation.

May 15 – Police responded to reports of a female employee concerned about finding a child’s backpack and umbrella in a dumpster. The employee felt the discovery was suspicious and contacted authorities.

General Complaint

May 17 – Police investigated reports of threatening and disturbing messages being sent to a resident’s daughter. The victim advised that a friend may also be receiving similar threatening communications from an unknown person.

Multiple Trespassing Incidents Reported

May 20 – Police responded to basketball court trespassing where approximately 10 people were asked to leave the area.

May 21 – A trespassing incident was reported at West Garfield Road where a manager had previously spoken with an individual about staying off the property.

May 16 – Police and EMS responded to reports of a possible heart attack involving an 80-year-old male experiencing difficulty breathing. Emergency medical units provided assistance and the patient was transported for treatment.
