STEAK Tremont Plans Second Location in Chagrin Falls

Modern steakhouse to take over former Burntwood Tavern space on East Washington Street

June 2 – STEAK, the acclaimed modern steakhouse in Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood, has announced plans to open a second location in the heart of Chagrin Falls.

The new restaurant will take over the former Burntwood Tavern space, bringing STEAK’s signature high-energy, contemporary dining experience to the historic Northeast Ohio village.

The Chagrin Falls Burntwood Tavern closed in March after 15 years in the community when its lease expired and the building was sold. The space at 504 East Washington Street served as the original location in the Burntwood family of taverns and features outdoor terraces and patio areas.

STEAK opened in Tremont in 2024 as the latest creation from Hangry Brands, a local hospitality group that includes Geraci’s Slice Shop and Lionheart Coffee. The restaurant was created by Jason Beudert and partner Terry Francona with the goal to disrupt the steakhouse category and fill a niche between budget brands and prohibitively expensive white-tablecloth steakhouses.

STEAK describes itself as “not your parent’s steakhouse” with reimagined classic American cuisine that is “fun and filling.” The Tremont location features a bold, sexy and slightly irreverent design with meat-cleaver door handles.

The Chagrin Falls location will mark the second restaurant for the modern steakhouse concept, bringing its trendy approach to the village’s dining scene.
