As the Harvest for Hunger campaign approaches its final week, the City of Pepper Pike is striving to reach its fundraising goal of $10,000 to support the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and fight food insecurity in Northeast Ohio.
Despite generous donations from many community members, more support is needed. If everyone who reads this message donates even a modest amount, Pepper Pike can meet and exceed its goal, providing critical resources to families, seniors, and children struggling to access nutritious food.
Why Your Donation to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank Matters
The Greater Cleveland Food Bank serves more than 400,000 people annually across six counties, including thousands in Pepper Pike. In 2024, they assisted a record-breaking 434,000 individuals facing hunger, many of whom are working families burdened by rising food costs.
With proposed federal and state budget cuts threatening programs like SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), the need for community donations is more urgent than ever. These cuts could reduce food assistance for many vulnerable families, increasing food insecurity in our region.
Take Advantage of a Limited-Time Donation Matching Opportunity
Thanks to the generosity of John Langer, President of H. Jack’s Plumbing and Heating Co., and the Cavaliers Community Foundation, every new or additional donation to the Harvest for Hunger campaign will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $60,000.
This matching gift means your donation can provide six meals for every dollar given—doubling your impact in feeding hungry neighbors in Northeast Ohio.
