The OhioMeansJobs Summit County Center in Akron will operate with reduced staffing Monday, July 15, due to a ribbon-cutting ceremony and festivities welcoming the Summit County Board of Elections as the center’s new neighbor.
The employment center, located on East Tallmadge Avenue, will offer limited access to services for job seekers and employers during the scaled-back operations. Staff will be available on a limited basis to assist with employment services.
Officials recommend calling ahead at 330-633-1050 to ensure a staff member is available before visiting the facility. The center encourages customers to speak with a receptionist to coordinate assistance.
Metro RTA bus services may also face disruptions in their usual routes while on the property. Drop-off and pick-up points could be adjusted, requiring public transportation users to potentially walk across the parking lot to reach the center.
The facility houses services for both job seekers and employers in Summit County. More information about the center’s services is available at summitmedinaomj.org.
