Drug and Alcohol Offenses
Police made several OVI arrests during the two-week period. On July 22, an individual was arrested on Treeside Drive for OVI with a prior conviction within 20 years, along with charges for open container violations and traffic offenses. Another OVI arrest occurred July 24 on Norton Road for refusal with a previous conviction and high breath alcohol content. A third arrest happened July 27 at Graham Road and Osage Street for operating under the influence.
Officers also arrested a suspect on July 24 on Darrow Road for possession of schedule I or II drugs and public intoxication. A death investigation on July 28 on Fishcreek Road involved drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Theft and Fraud
Multiple shoplifting incidents were reported at Kent Road businesses, with arrests made July 15, 16, 17 and 28. Police also investigated several identity fraud cases, including incidents on Oak Road, Ritchie Road, Margaret Avenue and other locations where suspects allegedly used another person’s identifying information.
A firearm theft was reported July 22 on Wyndham Ridge Drive. Vehicle theft was reported July 18 on Hibbard Drive.
Domestic and Personal Violence
Police responded to domestic violence calls July 26 on Kent Road and Darrow Road. Simple assault cases were reported on Larkdale Drive, L’Ermitage Place and Ritchie Road.
An endangering children arrest was made July 19 on Norman Drive. A rape case involving a victim with mental or physical disability was reported July 25 on Mallard Avenue.
Other Notable Incidents
Telecommunications harassment complaints were filed on Kent Road and Bent Tree Lane. Criminal trespass cases occurred at multiple locations including Allen Road, Vira Road and Hudson Drive.
Animal noise complaints were reported twice on Sanford Avenue July 16. A dangerous dog incident was investigated July 20 on Norman Drive.
Extortion and blackmail charges were filed in separate cases on Wyndham Ridge Drive and Hickory Trail.
Additional information has been requested from the Stow Police Department on several of these incidents.
