Chick-fil-A announced plans to open nine new restaurants across Northeast Ohio by the end of 2027, creating up to 900 full- and part-time jobs in the region as part of a larger statewide expansion.
The Atlanta-based chicken chain will begin with two locations opening in fall 2025: Alliance and North Canton. The Alliance restaurant will be located on State Street, while the North Canton site will be west of North Main Street and south of Stratavon Drive.
Additional Northeast Ohio locations planned for 2026 and 2027 include downtown Cleveland, Broadview Heights, Aurora, Akron, Stow, Streetsboro and New Philadelphia.
The company has operated in Ohio for 45 years and currently has about 80 locations throughout the state. Like other Chick-fil-A locations, the new restaurants will operate under the company’s franchising model.
“Ohio’s mix of vibrant cities, close-knit suburban communities and deep-rooted traditions truly makes it the heart of it all,” said Omar Dione, Chick-fil-A’s area director for the Midwest.
Other Ohio locations planned: Beyond Northeast Ohio, the expansion includes Central Ohio restaurants in Athens, Whitehall, Hilliard, Lancaster and Marysville, with a Groveport location scheduled to open by year’s end. A Westerville restaurant already opened in April.
The Cincinnati area will welcome new restaurants this fall in Madisonville, West Chester and Middletown, plus a licensed location inside Miami University’s Armstrong Student Center.
In the Dayton region, a Fairborn location is planned, along with restaurants in Oregon and Findlay scheduled for 2026.
