Sept. 11 – Serious Domestic Violence Arrest at Preschool A woman was arrested on charges of domestic violence and endangering children after allegedly assaulting the father of her children in the parking lot of Ganon Gil Preschool on Shaker Boulevard. The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. when the man was holding their 1-year-old son. The assault involved personal weapons (hands, feet) and other weapons. The woman was later arrested on both domestic violence and child endangerment charges.
Sept. 3 – Domestic Violence Threats Lead to Arrest A man was arrested for domestic violence threats on Halworth Road late in the evening around 10:40 p.m.
Sept. 6 – Domestic Disturbance Officers responded to a disturbance between a man and woman at a residence on Cedar Road around 9:45 p.m.
Theft and Property Crimes
Sept. 12 – Check Fraud at Business A business on Commerce Park reported check fraud to police.
Sept. 12 – Package Theft from Apartment Complex A resident of the Vantage Apartments on Cedar Road reported that a package delivered on September 8 was stolen from the lobby. No suspects have been identified.
Sept. 6 – High-Value Shoplifting at Dillard’s A man was arrested for shoplifting one item worth $199 from Dillard’s at the shopping mall on Cedar Road.
Sept. 3 – Expensive Sunglasses Stolen A man stole two Gucci sunglasses valued at $1,180 from Sunglass Hut at Beachwood Place Mall.
Sept. 6 – Electric Bike Theft A juvenile reported his electric bike was stolen from Beachwood Place Mall.
Sept. 4 – Business Check Fraud A business on Chagrin Boulevard reported check fraud.
Sept. 3 – Debit Card Compromise A resident reported her debit card was compromised at a medical facility on Cedar Road.
Hate Crimes and Threats
Sept. 9 – Antisemitic Threatening Letter Young Israel Synagogue on Green Road received a threatening letter in the mail on September 8 and filed a police report.
Sept. 8 – Threatening Letter to Religious Facility A religious facility on Green Road received a threatening letter in the US mail. Officers collected the letter and information for a report.
Mental Health and Crisis Interventions
Sept. 11 – Psychiatric Transport A Signature Healthcare patient on Chagrin Boulevard was transported to Ahuja Medical Center for psychiatric evaluation.
Sept. 6 – Two Separate Mental Health Transports
- A woman was transported to Ahuja Hospital for evaluation after a crisis intervention call at a hotel on Chagrin Boulevard.
- A parent requested a welfare check on their daughter on Geo Zeiger Drive. The woman was located and transported to Hillcrest Hospital for evaluation.
Juvenile and School Incidents
Sept. 12 – Juvenile Arrested on Multiple Charges A juvenile was arrested for obstructing official business and curfew violation on Fairmount Boulevard around 2:30 a.m.
Sept. 8 – Weapon Brought to Middle School A juvenile student at Beachwood Middle School on Richmond Road claimed they accidentally brought a weapon to school.
Sept. 11 – School Issue Report A woman responded to the police station lobby to report an issue with Beachwood Middle School.
Sept. 6 – Juveniles Causing Disturbance Two juveniles were located after knocking on doors and running away in the area of Belvoir Road around 1 a.m.
Sept. 6 – Unsupervised Child at Playground A woman reported that a child was unsupervised at the Beachwood City Playground, creating a dangerous situation.

Sept. 11 – Woman Arrested at County Jail A woman was arrested upon her release from the Cuyahoga County Jail on a Shaker Heights Municipal Court warrant.
Sept. 10 – Traffic Warrant Arrest A man was arrested on an active warrant issued by Shaker Heights Municipal Court for failure to appear on traffic charges originally issued by Beachwood Police.
Sept. 8 – Self-Surrender A man with a traffic warrant turned himself in at the police station and paid his fines to close his case.

Sept. 11 – Dog Bite on Sidewalk A man reported being bitten by a dog on Bridgeton Drive while walking on the sidewalk. The dog was being walked by a woman hired by the dog’s owner to walk the dog.

Sept. 10 – Missing Phone at Nursing Home A man at King David Post-Acute and Nursing on Cedar Road reported his phone missing or stolen.
Sept. 5 – Missing iPhone at Retail Store An American Eagle employee at the shopping mall reported a missing iPhone.
Sept. 4 and Sept. 3 – Multiple Lost Property Reports Officers took lost property reports at the police station lobby and responded to various lost property calls, including a resident who lost his Ohio driver’s license.
Sept. 3 – Firearm Found at Crash Scene Police found a firearm during a traffic crash on Cedar Road and secured it at the police department for safekeeping.
Environmental and Property Issues
Sept. 9 – Illegal Dumping Citation A man was issued a citation for illegal dumping on private property on Chagrin Boulevard.
Sept. 9 – Vehicle Damage at Gym A woman reported her vehicle was damaged at Lifetime Fitness on Richmond Road.
Sept. 12 – Unsecured Building An officer found an unsecured door at an unoccupied building on Fairmount Boulevard. It appeared someone may have entered the structure. The building was resecured.
Sept. 12 – Safe Found in Driveway A lockbox safe was found in a driveway with the lock forced open. It was later determined the homeowner had forced it open and thrown it in the trash.

Sept. 11 – Property Issue with Ex-Girlfriend A man reported a property issue involving his ex-girlfriend to police.
Sept. 11 – Man Falls in Sidewalk Hole A man called police after falling into a hole near a city sidewalk on Chagrin Boulevard.
Sept. 7 – Dog Custody Dispute A woman on Annesley requested police assistance retrieving two dogs from her ex-husband.
Sept. 4 – Workplace Disturbance Investigation Police responded to an office building parking lot on Chagrin Boulevard to investigate a report of an argument and vehicle tampering from the previous day.
Sept. 12 – Suspicion Report Officers responded to a suspicion report on Mercantile Road.
Sept. 3 – Station Lobby Reports Officers responded to multiple suspicion reports at the police station lobby.
