BEDFORD, Ohio — Bedford police responded to a shooting that left two people injured on Washington Street Monday morning.
Officers were dispatched to 858 Washington Street at approximately 10:35 a.m. on September 29 after receiving reports of two individuals shot by someone known to the victims. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male and female with gunshot wounds. The suspect had fled the area prior to police arrival.
Bedford Fire Department medics provided first aid to both victims before transporting them to a local hospital for treatment.
Police located and arrested the suspect shortly after the incident outside a nearby business.
The investigation remains ongoing, and Bedford police indicated additional information will be released as it becomes available.
