THEFT/SHOPLIFTING
Officers investigated multiple shoplifting incidents at Kent Road businesses between Sept. 16-29. An arrest was made Sept. 19 at a Hudson Drive store, with additional arrests following on Sept. 19 and 20 at Kent Road locations. Separate theft investigations were reported at E Steels Corners Road on Sept. 16, involving receiving stolen property, and at Silverwood Drive on Sept. 18. A theft was reported at Campus Drive on Sept. 24, and another at Clearbrook Drive on Sept. 26. Investigations remained ongoing for theft incidents at Kent Road and Commerce Drive on Sept. 29.
OVI/IMPAIRED DRIVING
An arrest was made Sept. 20 at Kent Road and Orchard Drive following a traffic stop. The incident resulted in charges including operating under the influence, OVI refusal with previous conviction within 20 years, open container, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and multiple traffic violations. A second OVI arrest occurred Sept. 21 at Baumberger Road and Graham Road, involving charges of operating under the influence, sales to and use by underage persons, use of headlight beams, possession of drug paraphernalia and a K-9 call out. An arrest was made Sept. 27 on Snowshoe Circle for driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and driving an unsafe vehicle.
NARCOTICS
Officers investigated a narcotics incident Sept. 27 on Graham Road. The case involved possession of drugs, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic violations including lack of driver’s license, taillight illumination issues and rear plate light problems.
PROTECTION ORDER/DOMESTIC
An arrest was made Sept. 15 at Courthouse Boulevard for violation of a protection order. The charge involved violating a protection order pursuant to Ohio statutes.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Criminal damage was reported Sept. 20 on Genevieve Boulevard, involving defacement. Another incident was reported Sept. 21 on North River Road, with vandalism to a business valued at more than $500. Criminal damage was also reported Sept. 26 on Commerce Drive and Maplepark Road.
BURGLARY
A burglary was reported Sept. 20 on Norton Road. The incident involved criminal damage, burglary with trespass when another person is present, criminal trespass and telecommunications harassment.
TRESPASS
Multiple trespass incidents were reported during the period. Officers responded Sept. 19 to Graham Road in Cuyahoga Falls, and Sept. 18 to Hudson Drive and Fishcreek Road. Additional trespass cases were reported Sept. 21 on Fishcreek Road and Sept. 24 at a Bridgewater Parkway apartment for failure to leave.
FRAUD
Telecommunications fraud was reported Sept. 23 on Darrow Road and Sept. 24 at a Darrow Road suite. A counterfeiting incident was reported Sept. 28 on Hudson Drive. Additional fraud cases were reported on Northview Drive Sept. 1 and Gulls Cove on Sept. 19, with prosecution declined on a Sept. 28 Mannington Boulevard case.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Officers responded to disorderly conduct incidents on Genevieve Boulevard Sept. 16, L’Ermitage Place Sept. 21, and Hiwood Avenue Sept. 21, resulting in an arrest. The latter two cases involved intoxication charges. Additional disorderly conduct cases were reported Sept. 22 at Darrow Road and Bryn Mawr Drive, Sept. 23 on Maplehurst Drive with intoxication charges, and Sept. 25 at Comanche Trail and Southbrook Drive involving reckless operation on a public roadway and intoxication.
PURSUIT
A vehicle pursuit occurred Sept. 23 beginning on State Route 8 South near Second Street in Cuyahoga Falls. Charges included expired or unlawful license plates and failure to comply with order or signal of a police officer.
OTHER INCIDENTS
An assault incident involving a juvenile was reported Sept. 21 on Charring Cross Drive, with charges of knowingly harming a victim. A simple assault arrest was made Sept. 26 on Graham Road. A juvenile was arrested Sept. 18 on Graham Road for cigarette or tobacco use, and another juvenile arrest occurred Sept. 24 in Cuyahoga Falls on Caleb Avenue for being unruly and disobedient. Telecommunications harassment was reported Sept. 24 at a Bridgewater Parkway apartment. An aggravated menacing case with prosecution declined was reported Sept. 20 on Crestdale Drive. Dogs running at large were reported Sept. 19 on Graham Road and Sept. 24 on Lillian Road. A public intoxication case was reported Sept. 28 on Gorge Park Boulevard. Officers conducted crisis intervention Sept. 22 on Marsh Road.
