Property Crimes
Oct. 7 – Lake Avenue Police investigated a breaking and entering incident where someone broke into a residence and stole items. Officers collected information and worked with neighbors who had surveillance cameras to identify potential suspects.
Oct. 12 – Chillicothe Road A retail theft was reported at a store after someone gathered items and left without paying on a Friday. Video surveillance was gathered for investigation.
Oct. 14 – East Boulevard Pumpkins were reported stolen from a yard. The resident had photographs of subjects who resembled juvenile males.
Oct. 17 – Aurora Road A theft was reported at the police station.
Oct. 17 – Lake Avenue Identity theft was reported after someone used a resident’s hunting account information to make unauthorized charges. The victim had already started the dispute process with their bank.
Oct. 18 – Countrywood Trail Pumpkins were reported stolen after witnesses saw individuals taking them and fleeing when confronted.
Oct. 16 – Mill Pond Road A trespass incident was reported and documented for investigation.
Fire and Emergency Response
Oct. 7 – Chillicothe Road Firefighters responded to an electrical fire on the side of a single-story home. The caller was advised to evacuate and ensure pets were removed. Emergency crews brought the fire under control, and the electric company was contacted regarding a potential line issue.
Traffic Enforcement and OVI
Oct. 10 – Bryce Avenue/East Boulevard Officers conducted traffic enforcement with multiple stops throughout the evening, checking for various violations and conducting routine safety checks.
Oct. 11 – Chillicothe Road (two incidents) In one incident, a traffic stop led to the discovery of multiple outstanding warrants. The driver’s vehicle was towed. In a separate stop, a driver was cited for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license due to medical restrictions.
Oct. 11 – Garfield Road An officer stopped a vehicle for suspected impaired driving. The driver showed signs of impairment, and field sobriety tests were administered.
Oct. 15 – Pioneer Trail A driver was cited for speeding after being stopped for traveling well over the limit.
Oct. 18 – Aurora Road Officers conducted an extensive traffic enforcement operation with multiple stops for speeding, equipment violations, and other safety matters.
Oct. 21 – Francis D Kennedy Drive A traffic stop led to coordination with Bedford police regarding a custody exchange matter.
Oct. 23 – Robinhood Drive A driver was arrested for driving while under the influence after their vehicle was found in a ditch. The driver was tested, processed, and released.
Oct. 24 – Lena Drive An officer investigated possible impaired driving during a traffic stop.
Oct. 25 – Chillicothe Road During a traffic stop for a violation, officers obtained consent to search the vehicle.
Oct. 26 – Countrywood Lane A traffic stop led to custody coordination matters being documented.
Welfare Checks and Mental Health
Oct. 9 – Circlewood Drive Officers conducted a welfare check on an elderly woman with physical disabilities. She appeared disoriented with no heat in her home and poor living conditions. Adult Protective Services was notified and opened a case.
Oct. 10 – Sycamore Lane Emergency crews responded to an elderly woman experiencing pain and shaking. She was transported for medical evaluation.
Oct. 12 – Shady Grove Police responded to a juvenile having a meltdown who was trying to break into areas of the home. The juvenile later harmed himself with a hammer and was transported for evaluation. Service coordination was arranged for follow-up.
Oct. 13 – Old Barn Drive Officers responded to a welfare check after someone knocked on a door in a paranoid state. The individual did not know the homeowner and stated people were after him. He was advised he would be transported for medical evaluation.
Oct. 21 – Chillicothe Road Officers responded to a mental health issue. The individual was located and contacted by emergency services.
Oct. 24 – Aurora Road Officers responded to a welfare check concerning a resident reportedly abusing medication and making concerning comments. The individual was located, and emergency services coordinated evaluation and transport.
Oct. 25 – Shady Grove Police responded to a juvenile having a meltdown. Officers worked with family members and emergency services to coordinate care, and the juvenile was transported for evaluation.
Warrant Arrests
Oct. 8 – Aurora Road A woman who came to the station to report an unrelated matter was arrested on an outstanding warrant. She was processed and released with a new court date.
Oct. 11 – Bryce Avenue A woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant, transported for processing, and released with updated court information.
Oct. 25 – Aurora Road Officers executed a warrant arrest at the station. The individual was processed and released with updated court information.
Disturbances and Disputes
Oct. 13 – Bryce Avenue Police responded to a disturbance after someone reportedly threatened a family member. A person was given a ride and advised they were trespassed from the residence.
Oct. 13 – Chestnut Street Officers assisted emergency services with a combative individual.
Oct. 21 – Bryce Avenue Police responded to a domestic dispute call. Officers located the involved parties and documented the incident.
Oct. 26 – Chillicothe Road Police responded to a domestic dispute and spoke with involved parties to resolve the situation.
Fraud and Harassment
Oct. 16 – Kimberly Drive Police investigated attempted fraud after someone tried to involve a resident in a scheme with a company and customer invoices.
Oct. 16 – Fareham Court A resident reported being contacted about computer fraud.
Oct. 20 – Sherwood Drive A harassment complaint was filed after an individual reported receiving threats.
Other Incidents
Oct. 10 – Aurora Road A key fob with a leather strap was turned in as found property.
Oct. 14 – Aurora Road area A parent reported a juvenile missing after the youth did not return home. Officers conducted follow-up checks at various locations before the juvenile was located safely.
Oct. 16 – departmental information Officers reported receiving information regarding a hit-skip incident from August. A suspect’s brother was identified as driving a pickup truck, and investigators worked to establish facts about the incident.
Oct. 17 – East Main Street Officers coordinated regarding a sentencing matter and arranged proper transport to the county jail.
Oct. 17 – Devon Pond A resident reported being bitten by a neighbor’s dog.
Oct. 18 – location not specified A parent filed a complaint about an incident involving their son at a football game the previous evening.
Oct. 24 – Aberdeen Lane A juvenile complaint was filed and documented for investigation.
