Welfare Checks
On November 2, a welfare check was requested by a concerned son who had been unable to reach his mother living in the 600 block of Chagrin River Road. Officers responded, but the resident was not at home. She was later contacted and confirmed to be fine.
On November 4, another welfare check was called in by a Battles Road resident who couldn’t reach his estranged wife. Officers discovered she had gone to pick up their children from school. The Gates Mills Elementary School resource officer located her at the school, and she was fine.
Traffic Incidents
A 31-year-old woman was pulled over for speeding on Brigham Road on November 4. A warrant from Parma Police was discovered during the stop, but Parma declined to take custody. The driver was cited for speeding and advised of the outstanding warrant.
On November 5, a tree service truck traveling west on Cedar Road damaged several mailboxes with overhanging equipment. The driver was unaware of the damage, but a witness reported the incident. The company took responsibility and agreed to repair four mailboxes.
Suspicious Activity
On November 6, a resident on Cottesworth Lane contacted police after receiving a remote alert that her garage door had opened unexpectedly. Officers checked the property and found nothing suspicious. The incident may have been caused by a power outage.
