Northfield Village police responded to several incidents between November 4 and November 10, including a counterfeit currency case, an impaired driving arrest, and a disturbance at a local entertainment venue.
Counterfeit bill passed at McDonald’s
On November 4 at 3:17 p.m., officers were dispatched to the McDonald’s on Northfield Road regarding a counterfeit bill. The restaurant manager reported that a fake bill had been passed during morning hours by someone who visits the location nearly every day. The manager declined to press charges but requested the individual be trespassed from the property.
Driver arrested for OVI with high BAC
Officers conducted a traffic stop on November 8 around 7:55 p.m. after being notified of an erratic driver on Northfield Road near Ledge Road. Police observed a vehicle with a flat front passenger tire traveling on North Plaza Drive. During the stop, officers noticed signs of impairment and administered standardized field sobriety tests. The driver was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence and transported to the police department, where a breath test registered 0.174 blood alcohol content. The driver received citations for OVI and prohibited BAC and was released with a court date in Stow Municipal Court.
Disturbance at MGM Center Stage
On November 8 at 10:28 p.m., officers responded to MGM’s Center Stage on Northfield Road for a disorderly conduct report. A woman attending a show became disruptive, assaulted multiple guests, and was escorted off the property by police.
