  • Credit Card Found at Hudson Springs Park – Stow Road

    • Nov. 15, 10:15 a.m. – A credit card located at Hudson Springs Park off Stow Road was turned in to police and documented as found property.
  • Damaged Street Sign – Darrow Road

    • Nov. 16, 3:29 a.m. – An officer located a damaged street sign in the Darrow Road area, documenting the incident as property damage.

Fraud, Scams and Identity Theft

  • Fraudulent Business Checks – Hudson Crossing Parkway

    • Nov. 11, 9:08 a.m. – A business on Hudson Crossing Parkway reported that fraudulent checks were created and attempts were made to cash them.
  • Crypto Scam Posing as Acquaintance – Ravenna Street Area

    • Nov. 13, 12:50 p.m. – Police took a report on theft of gift card funds from a resident on Red Maple Drive.

    • Nov. 11, 8:09 p.m. – Officers responded to Canterbury Drive for a report of identity fraud.
    • Nov. 12, 8:40 p.m. – Police again responded to a Canterbury Drive address for a welfare check requested by a family member. The person checked okay.

OVI Near Triple the Legal Limit

  • OVI Arrest – Terex Road / Bridgewater Area
    • Nov. 17, 9:10 p.m. – Officers stopped a 61-year-old man from Akron for a moving violation in the Terex Road and Bridgewater area.
    • Police reported the driver showed signs of impairment and was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he performed poorly.
    • He was arrested for OVI, and his vehicle was impounded.
    • According to the report, he submitted to a breath test and registered nearly three times the legal limit.
    • He was given a court date and released on a signature bond.
