Police Blotter: Delivery Driver Stuck, Assist with Crash, Welfare Check

Gates Mills police respond to traffic troubles, assist other agencies, and handle safety checks in mid-December incidents.

Gates Mills police handled a series of weather-related assists, welfare checks and minor calls for service during the week of Dec. 16, according to the latest Gates Mills police blotter.

Stuck Vehicle โ€“ County Line Road (Dec. 16)
A delivery driver reported being stuck on ice in a driveway in the 1700 block of County Line Road. The vehicle was later removed. Officers assisted.

Crash Assist โ€“ Sherman and County Line Road (Dec. 16)
A Gates Mills officer assisted Chester Township police with a three-car accident at Sherman and County Line Road. The officer assisted as needed.

Suspicious Vehicle โ€“ Gates Road Area (Dec. 16)
A Gates Mills Towers resident asked police to check for her ex-boyfriend, who she believed might be parked in his vehicle in the area of Gates Road watching her. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the vehicle.

Vehicle Off Roadway โ€“ Robinwood Lane (Dec. 17)
A vehicle slid off the roadway on Robinwood Lane with a young child in the backseat. The mother needed help getting the child out of the vehicle. Officers assisted. No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was removed by a tow truck.

Package Complaint โ€“ Dorchester (Dec. 18)
A Dorchester resident reported that two Amazon packages were shown as delivered with photo confirmation, but only one package was at the residence upon his return home. The contents of the missing package were unknown. The caller requested documentation only.

911 Hangup โ€“ Riverview (Dec. 19)
Officers responded to a 911 hangup call from a home on Riverview. Responding officers confirmed the call was accidental.
