TWINSBURG, Ohio – The Twinsburg Police Department managed a series of intense traffic-related incidents in early January, ranging from a high-speed pursuit that crossed city lines to multiple arrests involving outstanding warrants and impaired driving.
High-Speed Pursuit Terminated for Safety
On January 3, 2026, at approximately 2:49 a.m., Twinsburg officers attempted to stop a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Ravenna Road. The driver refused to pull over, leading to a short pursuit. Due to the vehicle’s reckless operation and high speeds, Twinsburg officers terminated the pursuit as the vehicle entered Aurora’s jurisdiction. Aurora Police also attempted to stop the vehicle but were forced to end their pursuit for safety reasons.
OVI Arrest Following Multiple Violations
A traffic stop on Ravenna Road on January 11 led to the arrest of a Solon man for Operating a Vehicle Impaired (OVI). Officers pulled the vehicle over near Massara’s Plaza after observing multiple traffic violations, including speeding and weaving. The driver showed signs of impairment and was subsequently charged with OVI, OVI Refusal with a prior conviction, possession of an open container, and marked lanes violations. He was issued a date to appear in Stow Municipal Court.
Warrant Arrests and Property Damage
Twinsburg officers also cleared several outstanding warrants during routine stops. On January 11, a female driver stopped for speeding at a gas station on East Aurora Road was found to have an active warrant with the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. She was taken into custody and transferred to their jurisdiction. Earlier, on January 9, a stop on I-480 West resulted in the arrest of a driver with multiple license suspensions and an active warrant for a parole violation through the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections. Additionally, on New Year’s Day, officers responded to a report of a vehicle stuck in a yard on Shepard Road, which caused damage to the lawn and resulted in charges for unlawful license plates.
