AURORA, Ohio – The Aurora Police Department responded to several incidents during the week of January 14-20, 2026, including property damage, a vehicle in a ditch, and multiple domestic-related calls.

On January 14, officers responded to a property damage report on North Aurora Road. The incident was documented and a property damage report was filed.

A vehicle incident occurred on January 16 at East Pioneer Trail and Beljon Lane when a silver sedan was found in a ditch with hazards activated. The vehicle had no license plates and was unoccupied. Multiple calls came in regarding the vehicle. Police units pushed the vehicle to the side of the road to allow traffic to pass, and officers contacted the owner for further information.

The same day, officers responded to a property lost/found call at Page Road where an ankle monitor was turned in.

Domestic Incidents Reported

Two domestic-related incidents were reported during the week. On January 16, police responded to a domestic violence call on Bryce Avenue. Officers found that both parties had been drinking, and one party reported being struck. The parties were separated, with one remaining on the main floor and the other upstairs with a young child. Officers conducted follow-up welfare checks, and a relative arrived to pick up the child.

On January 18, officers responded to a domestic dispute on Woodlake Drive where a male was intoxicated and yelling. The reporting party locked herself in her bedroom. Officers determined there was no physical assault or threats, and the parties were separated on opposite sides of the house.

Other Calls for Service

On January 16, officers responded to a welfare check on North Chillicothe Road for a subject found in the snow. The individual was transported to a hospital for evaluation.

On January 17, police received a harassment report on Deer Island Drive from an attorney who reported receiving death threats via email from a former client.
