Independence Home Days: A Weekend of Fun and Community Spirit

Independence, OH – The annual Independence Home Days festival returns this weekend, promising a delightful mix of entertainment, food, and community activities. Scheduled for Friday, August 2, from 6 PM to 11 PM and Saturday, August 3, from noon to 11 PM, the event will be held at Elmwood Park, 6363 Selig Drive.

Event Highlights

The celebration kicks off on Friday evening with a variety of activities for all ages. Highlights include a Family Fun Zone, ZOO-2-GO, and a performance by the Cleveland Dance Project. Mayor Gregory Kurtz will deliver the welcome message, followed by the National Anthem performed by the I.H.S. Vocal Ensemble. The evening continues with bingo, cornhole and volleyball tournaments, and live entertainment on the main stage​ (Independence Ohio)​​ (Independence Ohio)​.

Saturday’s festivities begin at noon with the Home Days Parade, a favorite community tradition that features local organizations, businesses, and schools. Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy carnival rides, games, contests, and a diverse selection of food and beverages from local vendors. Entertainment and Activities

All weekend, visitors can enjoy carnival rides, with wristbands available for unlimited rides ($16 on Friday, $18 on Saturday, or $30 for the entire weekend). Single ride tickets are also available for $2.50 each.
