The Stow Police Department handled 32 incidents between August 19-25, resulting in multiple arrests and investigations across various crime categories.
Arrests and Major Cases
Police made several arrests during the week, including two OVI cases. On August 22, officers arrested a driver for operating under the influence, endangering children, and equipment violations. A second OVI arrest occurred August 25 with additional charges for driving under license suspension and lane violations.
Drug-related arrests included a warrant service case August 25 where an individual was arrested on charges including possession of schedule I or II substances and drug paraphernalia. Officers also investigated a separate drug possession case August 22 involving schedule I or II substances and paraphernalia.
Theft cases dominated the weekly reports with multiple shoplifting incidents at Kent Road businesses. Officers made arrests for theft without consent on Fishcreek Road August 23 and shoplifting on Kent Road August 25.
Domestic Violence Incidents
Police responded to several domestic violence calls throughout the week. Cases were reported on Klein Avenue August 23, Gottschall Avenue August 24, Arndale Road August 24, Spring Run Court August 25, and Martinique Circle August 25. One case involved charges of knowingly causing physical harm.
Other Notable Cases
Officers investigated sexual imposition cases on Sowul Boulevard August 19 and Fishcreek Road August 25. Both involved offensive contact charges.
Identity fraud was reported August 21 involving theft without consent and fraudulent use of personal identifying information. Multiple telecommunications fraud cases were also investigated during the week.
Animal control handled a dog bite incident on Bluestem Lane August 22 and a dog running at large case on Leewood Road August 23.
Police also responded to vehicle trespass, criminal mischief, menacing, telecommunications harassment, and missing person cases during the reporting period.
The incidents occurred at various locations throughout Stow, with several cases concentrated along the Kent Road corridor.
