Summit County Animal Control At Full Capacity, Launches Discounted Adoption Drive During National Pet Month

Summit County Animal Control is currently at full capacity with more than 90 dogs in their care and urgently needs community support to find these animals forever homes. In response to this critical situation, the facility has announced a special National Pet Month Adoption Drive with significantly reduced fees.

For the remainder of May, dog adoption fees have been slashed to just $28, down from the regular $94 fee. All adopted animals come microchipped, fully vetted, licensed, and ready for immediate adoption.

“We are currently housing over 90 dogs and have no wiggle room to spare,” a representative from Summit County Animal Control stated.

Interested adopters can schedule an appointment by calling 330-643-2845 or visit the facility during regular business hours. Those wishing to browse available pets before visiting can view adoptable animals on the Summit County Executive Facebook page or through the online adoption portal at 24petconnect.com/SummitCountyAdoptablePets.
