Aurora Police Reports: Theft, Domestic Incidents and Assault

Theft Cases

Seven theft incidents were reported during the period. On Garfield Road, a woman reported theft from her credit card while at a fruit stand. Tool theft was reported on West Pioneer Trail near a residential area. A license plate was stolen overnight from a vehicle parked on Moneta Avenue, with the owner discovering the theft the next morning.

On Gentry Drive, brokers reported believing a carrier had stolen a shipment load after becoming unable to reach contact with the company. The case involves a potentially fraudulent trucking operation.

A theft was also reported from a building on North Aurora Road, where traffic cones were taken from a construction lot.

Domestic Incidents

Officers responded to multiple domestic disputes. On Bryce Avenue, a male was reported as threatening to hit a female resident. The incident involved verbal abuse and escalated to threats of physical violence.

On Emerald Court, police responded to a domestic dispute involving an ex-husband who had become verbally abusive during an interaction.

A trespassing case on East Boulevard involved someone leaving threatening notes at a residence over a two-week period, with one note reading “I’ll haunt forever.”

Vehicle Incidents

Vandalism occurred twice during the reporting period. On Chillicothe Road, a tractor was damaged with food thrown over it and oil put in the gas tank. The incident happened along the main driveway.

On Shawnee Trail, someone was caught on camera tampering with a vehicle while the owner was at work. The suspect was seen near the pool entrance area.

Assault Case

A significant incident occurred on Chillicothe Road where a male was punched several times in the face after an employee-related dispute. The assault involved multiple people and resulted in arrests for burglary, theft and telecommunications fraud.

Civil Matters

Several civil disputes required police response. On Knollwood Drive, a woman reported receiving threatening phone calls from her husband about their condo sale. The calls involved threats related to property transactions.

A custody dispute on Buckingham involved a woman seeking advice about evicting her father from a residence, with concerns about potential violence.

Mental Health Response

Officers responded to Jackson Road for a mental health crisis where a woman wanted to shower and requested a friend be present. The situation was resolved through crisis intervention.

Medical Emergency

Emergency responders were dispatched to East Boulevard for an unresponsive 42-year-old woman found in her room. The woman was breathing but unresponsive and was transported for medical evaluation.

Harassment Cases

Two harassment incidents were reported. On Bartlett Road, a woman filed a report about receiving threatening text messages from an ex-boyfriend. On Glen Eden Court, a contractor reported receiving threatening messages and having someone show up at his residence.

Warrant Activity

Police executed warrant service on Chillicothe Road that involved checking multiple locations including a residence and vehicle. The operation resulted in arrests and recovery of stolen property.

Juvenile Incidents

A juvenile complaint was filed regarding a missing person who had run away from home. The juvenile was described as wearing specific clothing and was located in the Grandview area.

Criminal mischief was reported on Treat Road where vehicles parked at a residence had mustard applied to them. The incident also involved damage to the victim’s vehicle.

The incidents occurred across Aurora’s residential neighborhoods, with multiple calls to Chillicothe Road and East Boulevard during the reporting period.
