A Hudson man faces multiple charges following an Oct. 1 bank robbery that prompted a multi-agency investigation.
The Hudson Police Department identified the suspect as James Zackary III, 42, who was arrested Oct. 4 in Findlay on unrelated charges.
The incident occurred around 11:40 a.m. Oct. 1 when a man entered the BFG Federal Credit Union on Darrow Road and handed a teller a demand note. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police described the suspect as wearing light-colored pants, a black sweatshirt, a white and black hat and glasses during the robbery.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol stopped Zackary shortly after midnight Oct. 4. He is being held in Hancock County Jail and will be extradited to face charges of aggravated robbery, robbery and theft.
Hudson police said Zackary has prior convictions including aggravated robbery in Montgomery County and aggravated assault in Ravenna.
The department credited tips to their tip line and collaboration with the FBI Cleveland office for identifying the suspect. No injuries were reported during the incident.
